They say memories are golden, well maybe that is true
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you

A million times I needed you, a million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died

In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill

If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane
I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you home again

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again

Dolfie Mabel, a resident of Freedom Square, got Dolfie when she was only about 6 months old. In later life Dolfie suffered from a heart condition and the veterinarian prescribed heart medication. For a few years things went really well and Dolfie had a good life but by 2009 Dolfie had gone completely blind. It was a difficult decision for Mabel, but she eventually realized that Dolfie was suffering and she was put to sleep on January 22, 2010. She was 12 years old. Rest in peace, Dolfie, we will always remember you.
Mufasa Mufasa was rescued by Judy van Zyl and helped her to raise funds for Pet Action Group with his pull-a-cart trick. Mufasa had such a loving character and everybody just loved this gentle giant. Sadly he passed away in October 2008 and we are all still grieving his death. He truly was one in a million and no other dog can ever take his place. Mufasa, our angel, you will always be in our memories and one day we will see you again.
